EP architects is a full service design firm that provides expertise in a variety of project types ranging from residential to retail and commercial to institutional. The firm was founded in 2006 by Rosalie Ezekiel and John Poelker. EP architects offer clients exceptional services in planning, programming, architectural and interior design, and construction administration.
Our portfolio represents a diverse collection of project types, scale, context, and design aesthetic. Our design work is built around a process based on listening to our clients to truly understand their needs, goals, and expectations. Creative solutions, thoughtful designs, and inspiring spaces are the hallmark of EP architects' projects.
EP architects is a registered Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) and a certified Woman's Business Enterprise (WBE).
Rosalie has 20 years of experience across a wide range of projects including residential, retail, commercial and institutional projects. Rosalie leads the design and management aspects of the firm. Her keen sense of space, natural light and how one moves through a sequence of views are what define her projects. The style of a project reflects the existing structure, the site and context as well as the personality of the client.
Rosalie often tells her clients that designing a space is akin to developing traffic patterns, taking into account the ebb and flow of a house, office, retail shop or school. How your body moves through space, what you see, what you don’t, are the building blocks of good design.
Rosalie's strength as a designer comes from her focused interest in a client's needs, allowing her to develop beautiful design solutions that meet the functional goals of a project while at the same time creating inspiring spaces that exceed all expectations. Rosalie's easy going personality, clear communication, and real world examples and experiences make her a favorite of clients.
Prior to starting EP Architects, Rosalie worked for ODA in New York City for 10 years, completing a number of award winning residential and commercial projects. Rosalie received a Masters of Architecture from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Barnard College.
